Here's What Val Said About Time and Again:
Debbie, Finished reading your book this past Friday....I liked, liked, liked, loved it!! Great description of places and things. I could picture exactly what you were describing and the story line is great! Have thought of several more people I would like to get a copy to. I will be placing another order for more books soon!

We had been looking forward to the release of your book with such great anticipation that we were very excited the day it finally arrived! Terri basically devoured it the first day or so. Terri says it has her hoping it's just the first in a series and that there will be more to follow kind.

I realize that the book "Time and Again". . . is a novel for young adults. I also realize that I am not so young anymore. But I do enjoy reading a good book even if it is for a different age group than I am currently. I met Ms. Heal today and really enjoyed her company and her knowledge of the area and time period about which she was writing. I had decided that I was going to like this book before I even read it. That decision was based on her personality and her disposition.
Then I read the book. By page 2 I was hooked. I didn't want to leave the library where the book signing was being held because it was good and I knew I wouldn't have a chance to read it again for awhile. So I read as much as I could before I left the library, then I went home and continued my daily business as quickly as possible so I would be able to read more of the book. I finished everything and then sat down to watch football and maybe read during the commercials. That didn't happen, I read the book and watched the highlights of the football game.
I loved her writing style. She is not superfluous. She is very descriptive and I believe that I know exactly what the house in the story looked like. She described the house as having "soul". I connected with the book at first because the child in the story was so difficult to get along with. I am facing that very thing in my life right now. I enjoyed getting the view point of the child in this situation. It made me open my eyes and see why a child might act the way they act to a stranger. Even if that stranger is their caregiver. I also enjoyed the fact that she brought the characters to life. She talked about their experiences at the snow cone place in their town. She explained how it felt to get lost in a small town. She brilliantly described how it felt to meet a tall, dark and Handsome stranger. I know exactly how the teacher in the book felt about not wanting to get involved while she was working.

Two thumbs up on "Time and Again!" Kathy and I thoroughly enjoyed your book Debby. We couldn't wait to finish supper every night to read a few chapters aloud. Your imagination and writing skills are awesome! Your writing as a whole was very good, but when you went to the time machine mode it was "to die for." We certainly enjoyed the wonderful history of the area packed into the story, and the recognizeable characters with their dialog and mannerisms were really neat. When the readers (Kathy and myself) whine for more at the end of the book, you know they'll read your next one.

I am not saying this because you are my niece and I love you dearly--your book is very good! It has mystery, romance, history, and suspense. You are a writer! I loved reading it.
